Recognize the Women Leading Energy
Influential Women in Energy recognizes women whose leadership, innovation and influence are shaping the energy industry. From exploration and production to oilfield services, finance, law, investment, consulting, renewable energy and energy transition, these trailblazers shape strategy, drive innovation and mentor others while creating change across the industry.
Now in its 10th year, the program celebrates honorees through recognition on HartEnergy.com and in the Influential Women in Energy supplement by Oil and Gas Investor. Honorees are also celebrated at the Influential Women in Energy event in Spring 2027.
Eligibility
To be eligible, a nominee must:
- Identify as a woman
- Work in or directly support the energy industry, including exploration and production, oilfield services, finance, law, investment, consulting, renewable energy, energy transition and related sectors
- Serve in a leadership, decision-making or strategic influence role within her organization

How Honorees are Selected
Honorees will be selected by Hart Energy’s editorial team with input from other Hart Energy team members. Selections are based on the nominee’s influence, innovation, leadership and commitment to advancing the energy industry and its future workforce. Nominees will be contacted only if selected.
Influential Women in Energy honors accomplished women who are making a lasting impact on the energy industry. Now in its tenth year, the program celebrates leaders across energy shaping the future of the industry.
Who is eligible?
A nominee must:
Identify as a woman.
Work in or directly support the energy industry, including exploration and production, oilfield services, finance, law, investment, consulting, renewable energy, energy transition and related sectors.
Serve in a leadership, decision-making or strategic influence role within their organization.
May I nominate myself?
Yes, you may nominate yourself or someone else.
What information is required to submit a nomination?
The online nomination form requests information about both the nominator and the nominee. You’ll be asked to provide:
Nominator details: name, title, company, email, phone number and relationship to the nominee
Nominee details: name, title, company, email, phone number, company address and company website
Assistant contact (if applicable): name, email and phone number
You’ll also be asked to include details and materials that highlight the nominee’s achievements, such as:
Optional biography or resume and links to relevant articles or materials
Comments describing why the nominee deserves recognition
Years of experience in the industry
Certifications, academic achievements, professional honors and community or volunteer involvement
How can I strengthen my nomination?
Focus on the nominee’s accomplishments, leadership qualities and impact within the energy industry. Include specific examples, such as major projects, innovations, deals, career milestones, awards or team leadership. Avoid general statements — clear, measurable achievements stand out.
May I nominate multiple people?
Yes, you may submit multiple nominations, but each nominee requires a separate form.
Can someone be honored more than once?
No, Influential Women in Energy is a one-time recognition. Previous honorees are not eligible again.
Is there a nomination fee?
Yes. A fee of $49 applies per nomination and supports the program production.
Does the nomination fee impact selection?
No, the nomination fee does not influence selection. Honorees are chosen solely based on their leadership, influence, innovation and contributions to advancing the energy industry.
How are honorees selected?
Hart Energy’s editorial team leads the selection process, with input from other Hart Energy team members. Selections are based on the nominee’s influence, innovation, leadership and commitment to advancing the energy industry and its future workforce.
When will honorees be notified?
Selected honorees will be contacted in fall 2026.
Will all nominees be contacted?
No, only selected honorees will be notified.
What happens if my nominee is selected?
Honorees will be featured on HartEnergy.com and in Oil and Gas Investor, as well as recognized at an event in spring 2027. They will be asked to complete a questionnaire and participate in a short interview to help shape their published profile.
